The "Pirelli Calendar 1964-1997" exhibition opened in February 1997 included all of the Calendar's published photographs plus another 400 unpublished pictures (backstage and second choices) making a total of some 700 images. The exhibition travelled in a number of notable locations. After its Venetian debut, it moved on to two other Italian venues: Palazzo Reale in Milan and Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, attracting more then 30.000 vsitors and press coverage beyond all expectation. During the second half of 1997, the exhibition moved on to Monte Carlo and Brussels... to South Africa... Buenos Aires and Caracas...
